We offer comprehensive surface treatment services for steel: pickling, passivation, electropolishing, wet painting, and shot blasting.
Pickling is a process used in manufacturing to clean surfaces that have discolored due to heat exposure during production. Pickling removes the low-chromium, corrosive surface of steel.
We perform pickling on stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, and duplex steels at our facility. Parts that cannot fit into the tank are spray pickled. We also carry out on-site spray pickling.
Electrolytic polishing or electropolishing is a chemical surface finishing technique where material is removed from the metal surface ion by ion. This process smooths out microscopic irregularities, making it easier for dirt to detach and simplifying the cleaning of the product.
Electrolytic polishing is also utilized for deburring, enhancing surface gloss, and passivation. With precise control, it can increase the protective passive film on steel and significantly improve corrosion resistance.
The polishing process reveals a flawless, metallurgically pure surface. Potentially harmful factors resulting from mechanical surface treatment—such as mechanical and thermal stresses, foreign particles, and surface roughening—can be avoided.
Electrolytic polishing does not mechanically, chemically, or thermally affect the treated component. This process is well-suited for parts of nearly any size or shape.
Pyhäjoki
Acid passivation ensures the hygiene and rapid passivation of stainless steel surfaces. This treatment is often performed after pickling. The commonly specified term “pickling and passivating” refers specifically to the combination of these two processes.

We provide ISO-9001 certified wet painting services for various metal structures and components.
We use Tikkurila, Teknos, Jotun, and Spies Hecker paints and varnishes, ensuring top-quality finishes.
All steps under one roof:
This integrated approach saves time, reduces unnecessary work stages, and minimizes risk.
Central Finland’s largest paint booth
Our booth can accommodate items as large as 25 x 9 x 9 m. Even structures with a 9 m diameter fit through the doors, and a full-length truck can be brought inside.
Completely renovated paint shop
In February 2023, we completed a full renovation of our paint shop. This included replacing curtains, lighting, ventilation, air filters, traps, and the heating system. We have paid special attention to unobstructed access, responsibility, and material storage.
Handling heavy components is easy
Rails and two 30-ton overhead cranes make moving large and heavy steel structures safe and effortless.
Advantages of a modular paint booth
Our paint booth can be opened from three sides, allowing us to choose the most efficient way to load and move parts. Additionally, it can be divided into two sections, enabling multiple work stages to be carried out simultaneously.
We typically shot blast all parts before painting them.
Both the blasting and painting processes take place in the same booth, eliminating the need to move items between work stages.
We primarily use steel shot or aluminum oxide abrasives for blasting, with the most common grit sizes being GH40 and GH55.
We can handle the entire production chain! In addition to productization and manufacturing, we offer comprehensive steel surface treatment services.
